Evancho’s birth place was Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her father’s name is Michael Evancho who was in the security business for videos. Her mother is Lisa. Her childhood was spent in Pittsburgh. She has one older sister and one younger brother and a sister.

Career

Just before turning eight, she took part in a talent competition and got the second place. After that she performed in many events. David Foster, a musician and record producer noticed her talent in 2009. She performed in the "David Foster & Friends" event in 2009. Her solo debut album "Prelude to a Dream" was released in 2009.

Evancho participated in the 5th season of America Got Talent in 2010 and became runner up. After that, she became a national sensation. She went for Live Tour in ten cities. She signed a contract with Columbia Records and SYCO. With Columbia she released her first major EP record, "O Holy Night". It was charted at no. 2 position on the "Billboard 200".

The EP got the platinum certificate from the RIAA. She is the youngest solo artist in the USA, who got the platinum certificate. Her other studio albums are "Dream with Me", "Heavenly Christmas", "Songs from the Silver Screen", "Awakening, Someday at Christmas", "Two Hearts" and "The Debut".
