1	Born on July 9, 1975, in Torrington, Connecticut, Marston lived in several states with his mother Elizabeth, an aspiring actress, before moving to Kauai, Hawaii, at the age of three. When Nathaniel was ten, they moved to San Diego, California. During the next several years the duo bounced between Los Angeles and New York City, returning to Los Angeles where he graduated from Beverly Hills High School. While working at a Beverly Hills bakery, Marston was "discovered" by a customer who happened to be an agent for the (near by) William Morris talent agency. After appearing in several commercials, he was cast as Rosario Cappamezza in the feature film "Love is All There Is" co-starring with Angelina Jolie, followed by a role in the 1996 film "The Craft.".
2	Marston (at 40 years of age), living in Gerlach, near Reno, Nevada, had been battling drug and alcohol addictions. In the rural community where he lived in recent years, he had helped his mother Elizabeth at the school where she worked and he did ranch work. Marston had been sober for six months. Marston had planned going back to Los Angeles after getting his sobriety back. On an October 30th evening road-excursion, Marston was involved in a single-car accident, driving a 1985 Ford F-150 truck. It is speculated that he could have fallen asleep behind the wheel, awakening, when the truck drifted across the lane, correcting the truck's drift-direction, overturned - flipped multiple times and landed on the dirt roadway shoulder. The crash occurred on State Route 447 near the tiny town of Nixon. The actor was not wearing a seat belt; ejected-thrown through the truck's windshield. Marston suffered several broken vertebrae in his back and neck. He was flown to a Reno hospital with critical injuries. According to medical officials and to the investigation, there were no drugs nor alcohol involved. His mother Elizabeth Jackson reported two weeks later, "Nathaniel passed away peacefully as I held him in my arms. Had Nathaniel lived he would have required a ventilator and would never have been able to utter one more word - and would have been sentenced to life as a quadriplegic. A condition that Nate would never have been able to tolerate." Nathaniel's pain and suffering from a broken neck and spinal injuries ended at 3:15 PST, November 11th, 2015, survived by his mother Elizabeth Jackson, his wife of nine years, Rita Bias (m: 2006-2015), his stepfather, and his siblings.
3	Marston is best known for playing Alonzo 'Al' Holden and later Dr. Michael McBain on ABC Television's soap opera "One Life to Live" from 2001 to 2007. Marston run on the soap almost ended in 2003, when his contract was not renewed. But he had become a fan favorite, and fan web sights dedicated to him and co-star Kathy Brier popped up on the Internet. After fans flooded the actor's fan page, magazines and ABC Daytime higher-ups-suits with messages calling for Marston to stay, his contract was renewed. His first soap opera role as Eddie Silva, a troubled figure who discovers that his girlfriend killed his father, was on the CBS TV daytime series "As the World Turns" - from 1998 to 1999. His performance as Eddie Silva earned him a Soap Opera Digest Award nomination for "Outstanding Male Newcomer." Marston also played Jack Tisdale on the short-lived 1996 night-time TV series "Matt Waters," and had roles in several feature films before becoming a soap opera star, including "The Craft," "Love is All There Is," "Ordinary Sinner" and "Ciao America".
4	Nathaniel Marston was best known for his role on ABC TV's day-time drama "One Life to Live" from 2001 to 2007, first playing the character-role Alonzo "Al" Holden. The character, a recovering drug addict who falls in love with a hospital receptionist, Marcie Walsh, was so popular that fans organized a write-in campaign to bring the character (and Mr. Marston) back after he was killed off of liver cancer. Then later re-incarnated, first as Al's spirit, then as Dr. Michael McBain (who also falls in love with Marcie). The actor was ousted from "One Life to Live" in 2007 after he was arrested on assault charges following a street fight in New York City at 45th St. and 10th Ave. ABC replaced Marston on "One Life to Live." He left the show shortly after his arrest. Marston, a 6-foot-3 former amateur boxer, "appeared to be crazed on cocaine" at the time of the attack "The Daily News" newspaper reported. He allegedly screamed, "I'm going to get you!" and assaulted - attacking three men with a metal crate and kicking at police officers during the scuffle. When cops arrived, Marston allegedly began flailing his arms and kicking the officers, who later took him to Bellevue Hospital where he was classified as an emotionally disturbed person. The fight left an officer bruised and one man with a broken leg. Marston initially was charged with four counts of second-degree assault, menacing, reckless endangerment and resisting arrest. In March 2010, Marston pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge, admitting to resisting arrest. A plea deal had Marston not sentenced to jail, to complete an anger-management program.

6	Nathaniel was released from his contract at One Life to Live (1968) in July 2003. Fans wrote in and protested heavily regarding his dismissal. His contract was reinstated for the year he had left. The people in charge at the show did not realize how popular he had become, along with his co-star, Kathy Brier.
