#	Quote
1	Being a script doctor is like making love to a beautiful woman and hearing her call out someone else's name.
2	I have never liked the term 'script doctor' because, in essence, every writer on a movie can be called that. It also implies that the other writers were somehow deficient. I prefer to be referred to as a participating writer.
3	Writing a screenplay is like driving at night. You can only see as far as your headlights, but it's possible to make the entire journey that way.
4	I don't like reading other people's screenplays. In fact, I don't even like reading my own.
5	Why does almost everyone I meet ask me to write a movie about their life? I don't want anyone writing a movie about MY life!

#	Fact
1	(May 20, 1992) Kunes sold an original screenplay entitled "First Comes Love" to Westport Film Partners (headed by former Warner Bros. Music president Stephen-Craig Aristei) for $1.2 million. This was the highest amount ever paid for an original screenplay at the time of its sale, and made the front page of Daily Variety.
2	Wrote 684 monologues for Johnny Carson between 1988 and 1992.
3	(May 22, 1992) During his last four years on "The Tonight Show," Kunes was Johnny Carson's favorite monologue writer and wrote the final joke that Carson ever delivered.
4	Sold 60 episodes of comedy series "Over My Dead Body" for $8 million to YouTube Red in 2016.
5	(January 2007-Present) Is an adjunct assistant professor in the Creative Writing Program at New York University.
6	Moved to Montecito, California where he continues to write and helps aspiring writers through seminars and workshops. [November 2006]
7	Lives on Broad Beach Road in Malibu, California [July 2006]
8	Has been a ham radio operator since age 13 (KQ6DF, formerly WA3MZV).
9	Likes to work with cinematographer John Seale.
10	Favorite movie: "Midnight Cowboy."
11	Writes most of his screenplays with Dustin Hoffman in mind.
12	Graduated from New York University in 1978.
13	Writes his screenplays by hand on a yellow legal pad.
14	Likes to tell strangers he's a taxidermist or an insurance underwriter.
