To keep your trowels rust free we recommend giving them a light spray with wd40 and giving them a light rub with the hessian rag. Another method to keep your trowel clean daily is give it a good few dips into the sand bag and rub off this will make the cement become dry and make it easy to rub clean.

You trowel over walls with it and almost iron them flat. If this part of the trowel is pitted with rust it will never be reliable.
