If you're in a meeting or call, Teams will automatically change your status to In a meeting or In a call (Busy) when not set to Do not disturb. Do not disturb is when you want to focus or present your screen and don't want notifications to pop up.
How do you turn off Do Not Disturb in Microsoft teams?
How to Turn Off Chat Notifications During Teams Meetings
- Click on your Teams avatar and select Settings.
- Then go to Privacy and, under Do Not Disturb, select Manage priority access.
- Remove any people with priority access to block all chat notifications when the DND status is on.
How long does Do Not Disturb last on Teams?
Standard settings take care of the most common durations from 30 minutes to the remainder of the week (Figure 1). If you want a presence to last longer, such as in the case of an extended duration, you can opt for a custom duration. Teams was quite happy when I set a presence to be Do Not Disturb until 1 December 2021.
