Always keep in mind, getting requests from audience is a key sign of how good and successful your music is. If they enjoy it, they ask for more. There is no rule for a DJ not to take any requests from audience, you may very well do it, as long as it fits the theme and flow of your set.
How do DJS deal with requests?
Another way to take advantage of requests is to ask for them directly—just do it when you're not DJing. Consistently ask your following on social media what songs you should add to your sets. Hit up your friends and peers and ask what they think would work well.
Is it rude to request a song from a DJ?
The best way to request a song is to write it down and be polite about it. I've had people come up to my CD books/laptop before and ask if they can look through it for a song to request. That's absolutely not okay.
