Ullapool is a port and a village of around 1,500 inhabitants in Ross and Cromarty, Scottish Highlands, located around 45 miles northwest of Inverness. Despite its size it is the largest settlement for many miles around, and an important port and tourist destination.
Is Ullapool worth visiting?
Tourists visiting are spoilt for choice as there is a wealth of things to do in Ullapool. Take an adventure while you're here and climb some of the local mountains, go wild swimming along the town's coast or experience something completely new!
Is Ullapool nice?
This is a small village, not very nice, that live only with tourism so it's not an authentic scottish village. It is even difficult to find a place where eating good, because menu tend to be "turistic" leading to bad dishes (overcooked fish, or very terrible "soup of the day"!
