What's a Mail Processor?

A Mail Handler, or a Mail Processor, organizes, handles and distributes mail to Carriers. Their main duties include loading and unloading mail trucks, using machinery to sort through the mail and preparing large mail batches for distribution.

Is being a mail processor hard?

This job is very repetitive and not very much required thinking. The hardest part of this job is the consistent heavy lifting, pulling, and pushing of bulky packages and/or mail.

How many hours does a mail processor work?

8-10 hours. You are not guaranteed until you become a regular employee. Night shift is typical hours if you work in the plant I work 5:30pm to 5am tour 3 heavy mail days consists of 10 hour days, and on light days I'm off by 2am.
