How to measure the correct size: Player stands nice and relaxed with their hands down by their sides. The distance from the ground to their wrist is the correct length. Player should be able to hold the hurley at the top and the hurley should be just touching the ground.

How do you measure a kids hurley?

Place the hurley (bas on the ground) by the child's side. Place your finger horizontally just underneath the grip as shown in the picture. With the correct size hurley, your finger should align with/touch the child's wrist bone. If the child can use the hurley like a sword with one hand, it is about the right weight.

Are hurls measured in inches?

It's a game of inches. For so long, young players were told by their parents and coaches that the best way to measure what size hurley they should be using was by having it in line with their hip bone.
