Rostered Day Off means any day (other than a "Non-Working Day" as defined) upon which an employee is not rostered to work any ordinary hours of work provided that an employee's rostered day off shall be a period of twenty-four hours commencing from the completion of an ordinary hours work period.
Why is rostered day off?
a method for reaching agreement about banking RDOs, particularly for employees employed on distant work or 'away from home' work. Often, these employees may accrue up to five rostered days off for the purpose of creating a bank to be drawn from by the employee at a mutually agreeable time between employer and employee.
What does not rostered mean?
Non-rostered shift employee means an employee required to work the hours described in Part V, Clause 1 - Hours of Work – of the Award.
