“When your avocation becomes your vocation, you will never work another day in your life.” By Paul Leo Klink, Social Media and SEO Guru & “When your avocation is your vocation you're always on vacation.” Paul Klink © 1979-2014

When your avocation is your vocation?

A vocation is the work you do because you have to; an avocation is what you do for pleasure, not pay. The ancient Latin root is a vocare a calling away from one's work, or a distraction. Today we use the word more to refer to a serious hobby.

What is vocation vs avocation?

An avocation is a hobby or any other activity taken up in addition to one's regular work; it may especially refer to something that is a person's "true" passion or interest. A vocation is one's principal occupation, often used in the context of a calling to a particular way of life or course of action.
