At the Jacking Points?

The jacking points for most vehicles are reinforced metal ribs specifically designed to safely lift the vehicle. On most vehicles, there are four jacking points. They're located under the car's rocker panels, just behind the front wheels and just ahead of the rear wheels.

What is the jacking point?

noun. A point on an object at which a lifting jack is applied; any of several locations on the underside of a motor vehicle where it is safe to apply a jack, especially a location that has been designed especially for this purpose.

Why is it important to raise the vehicle from its jacking points?

Trolley jacks raise cars and trucks into the air for repairs and maintenance, so great care must be taken to avoid potentially fatal accidents. Position safety stands under the vehicle as soon as the vehicle is raised. Many deaths and injuries have resulted from failure to use safety stands.
