Steps for conducting a Testability Analysis
- Use the BQR FMECA project.
- Define list of tests.
- Define which failure modes are covered by each test.
- Define list of BITs.
- For each BIT, assign relevant tests.
- Define Operator and Maintenance messages for each test (optional)
What is Testability Analysis?
Testability analysis is a method for evaluating the various qualitative and quantitative aspects of the Built-In Test (BIT)/Built-In Test Equipment (BITE) design.
What is Testability index?
Testability index = log (sum over all faults fi of T(fi)).
