Plexiform neurofibromas can grow. They are more likely to grow in childhood but they can also grow in adult years. There is no evidence that they get worse with puberty.
Do plexiform neurofibromas grow back?
Unfortunately, plexiform neurofibromas may grow back after surgery. How and when they grow back after a surgery varies for every individual. More recently, medications are being developed to treat plexiforms which can make surgery less necessary in some individuals.
Do neurofibromas grow fast?
