crusting or oozing along the lash line. sensitivity to bright light. pus from the area. sore or scratchy eye.
Is it normal for pus to come out of a stye?
External styes, or those outside the eyelid, may turn yellow and release pus. Internal styes that appear inside the eyelid tend to be more painful. Applying a warm compress gently against the stye helps it release pus more readily, and resolve the pain and swelling. Sometimes a stye can recur.
Will a stye drain on its own?
Yes, styes are painful and ugly. But they're just a blocked oil gland on your eyelid and should go away on their own or with simple treatment in a few days.
