The Worl' Boss Vybz Kartel, who is serving a life sentence for the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams, has maintained his innocence and is confident that he'll be freed after the UK Privy Council decides on his final appeal.

Will Vybz Kartel ever be free?

On April 17, 2020 the Court of Appeal reduced Kartel's parole eligibility to 32 years and 6 months, citing Justice Campbell's failure to consider time the singer had spent in jail while awaiting trial in 2014. Kartel will now be eligible for parole in 2046.

Will Kartel be released?

The singer's final appeal is now before the UK Privy Council, Jamaica's highest appellate court. However, if that fails, Kartel will be eligible for parole around the year 2046.
