Contrary to popular belief, Certified Nursing Assistants, or CNAs, do not only work in nursing homes. A significant percentage do, of course, but these professionals also work in a variety of other healthcare settings.
Who do CNAs work with?
Certified nursing assistants may also be called a nursing assistant, a nurse's aid, or a patient care assistant. CNAs work directly with patients and nurses, helping with the many physical and complex tasks for patient care.
Can a CNA work with babies?
Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) who work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) assist with newborn patients under the supervision of other medical staff, such as registered nurses (RNs) doctors, and surgeons.
