The Pacific Time Zone (PT) is a time zone encompassing parts of western Canada, the western United States, and western Mexico. Places in this zone observe standard time by subtracting eight hours from Coordinated Universal Time (UTC−08:00).
Where is the PST time zone?
The Pacific Time Zone includes the states of California, part of Idaho, Nevada, most of Oregon, and Washington. Idaho is in both the Pacific and Mountain Time Zones.
Is PST and PT the same?
The term Pacific Time (PT) is often used to denote the local time in areas observing either Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) or Pacific Standard Time (PST). In other words, in locations observing Daylight Saving Time (DST) during part of the year, Pacific Time is not static but switches between PDT and PST.
