What can you buy with EBT at Costco?

Costco does accept EBT benefit cards at all their locations as of 2021. Costco members who are eligible for EBT/SNAP can purchase fresh produce, foods, meats, and other groceries in-store only. However, EBT can not be used for purchasing Costco Gas, pet food, medication, household supplies, alcohol, or tobacco.

When did Costco start accepting EBT?

Costco Warehouse clubs began accepting food stamps nationally in 2009, after first testing them only at stores in New York. Costco only began accepting EBT cards a full year after BJ's Wholesale and Sam's Club started accepting them in 2008.
