BC Ferries' customers have been asking for the use of debit as a form of payment, and the company is now able to provide the option. The installation of the new PIN pads is currently underway throughout the fleet and expected to be completed by spring 2020.

Travellers taking BC Ferries will soon be able to use their debit cards at the company's ticket booths. The change will apply to both vehicles and foot passengers, who will now also be able to use credit and debit tap-and-pay as well.
