Some professional reviewers are critical of Philo's limited selection, particularly its meager options for news and total lack of sports and local content. However, most agree that it's still a good value for money, especially since it allows up to three simultaneous streams.

Is Philo as good as Hulu?

If you want to watch live lifestyle and entertainment channels at a low price, Philo is the ideal streaming service for you. If you want to access content in an on-demand manner and want to watch local channels, news, and sports, Hulu is the better choice.

Is Philo or sling better?

If you can't live without sports, Sling TV is the obvious better choice. Philo doesn't have any sports channels and it also doesn't have any of the “big four” American broadcast networks. Conversely, if you don't watch sports at all, it could make more sense to go with Philo.
