Minetta Tavern opened in Greenwich Village in 1937, quickly becoming the local hangout for writers and poets including: Ernest Hemingway, Ezra Pound, Eugene O'Neill, e.e. cummings, Dylan Thomas, and Joe Gould. Today Minetta lives on.
