What fuel do Scripto lighters use?

To adjust flame: Move lever on top of lighter toward "+" for higher flame or toward "-" for lower flame. Refilling instructions: Use only quality butane fuel like Scripto® universal butane fuel. This lighter does not require an adaptor for refilling.

How do you know if a lighter is lighter or butane?

Look for a small hole near the center bottom of the lighter. Point the hole away from your face and insert a small jeweler's Phillips-head screwdriver or a small brad nail into the hole and press inward slightly. A refill hole allows air and butane to bleed out when depressing the hole.
