Clearing is how unis and colleges fill any places they still have on their courses. From 5 July – 19 October, you can apply for a course using Clearing if you're not already holding an offer from a university or college, and the course still has places. You can use Clearing if: you're applying after 30 June.

When does Clearing open? Clearing is open from Monday 5 July to Tuesday 19 October 2021. You can't enter Clearing until you have your grades.

Do you automatically go into clearing?

Yes, you can now self-release yourself into Clearing. You no longer have to wait to be released by your insurance choice, but can do it yourself, saving valuable time.
