Practicums should be listed under the experience portion of your résumé. ... Next, include your work experience, highlighting the practicum first and then other jobs or volunteer work. Is a practicum work experience?

Practicums (also called internships or work placement programs) are designed to provide students with practical work experience. They emphasize the importance of learning by doing. They're where students can transfer their knowledge to actual work.

Does volunteering count as work experience?
