The hexagon hole in the lever key fits snug to the location on the torsion bar where it is designed to slide onto and hold snug to the bar with no gaps or “slop”. This is the point where the torsion key applies adjustable force to the torsion bar and ultimately rotates the torsion bar and providing “lift”.
Will torsion keys hurt my truck?
Yes, the keys will change the position of the torsion bars(lowers them), thus raising truck withoutcranking the torsion bars. They will also have an adjusting bolt to give you some more height adjustability without cranking the bars.
What does turning your torsion keys do?
You can perform a torsion key lift by simply turning up the vehicle's existing adjusters or by replacing the stock keys with a set designed to increase ride height. It controls the bar's distance from the ground and ensures the vehicle stays at the set height.
