Lenses with a negative or minus power will extend the focus further back and give a myopic person their best vision. A person who is far-sighted has an easier time seeing far away than up close. This results in either better vision far away or sometimes just less strain to see far away.
Does Nearsightedness get better?
Does It Get Better Over Time? Myopia runs in families and will probably start in childhood. Multifocal lens (glasses or contacts) and eye drops such as atropine, pirenzepine gel, or cyclopentolate can help slow the progression. Your eyes usually stops changing after your teenage years, but not always.
Is nearsightedness or farsightedness better?
Whether it's “better” to be near or farsighted depends on your lifestyle and occupation. If you need to see close-up details often, such as while doing office work, it might be easier to be nearsighted. On the flip side, if you need to see distant objects often, such as while driving, being farsighted might be easier.
