How to Avoid Waste of Resources
- Do not steal school or state property.
- Switch off lights and other electrical gadgets when not in use.
- Use other sources of energy e.g. LPG for cooking instead of firewood or electricity.
- Report those who steal or destroy public property.
- Ensure sustainable use of environmental resources.
Why should we stop wasting resources?
One of the bigger reasons to reduce waste is to conserve space in our landfills and reduce the need to build more landfills which take up valuable space and are a source of air and water pollution. By reducing our waste, we are also conserving our resources.
How are we wasting resources?
Education and awareness is a major cause of this waste, people just do not always consider how much electricity/gas/water is wasted by their actions. Thus doors are left open, lights switched on, and taps are left running, things that many people now would not do at home, after all they have to pay the bills.
