Will updating iOS delete Cydia?

Yes. Jailbreaks are specific to certain iOS versions, so if you update your iPhone, you will lose your jailbreak. As well, Over-the-Air updates (OTA) are not recommended for jailbroken devices. Restore them instead using iTunes.

Does updating iOS get rid of jailbreak?

Updating your iPhone to a new iOS version will also remove your jailbreak.
