1. Create Bootable USB Media in Ubuntu Using Startup Disk Creator
- Open the dash menu.
- Open the Startup Disk Creator application by typing or searching in the search box.
- Now, you will need to select the source ISO file and specific device for bootable media.
Create a bootable Windows 10 USB install stick using WoeUSB. Simply launch WoeUSB from the menu / Dash, select the Windows 10 (again, it should also work with Windows 7 and 8 / 8.1) ISO or DVD,, then select the USB drive under “Target device” and click “Install”. - Select the format: MS-DOS (FAT) and scheme: GUID Partition Map.
This is installed by default on Ubuntu, and can be launched as follows:
- Insert your USB stick (select ‘Do nothing’ if prompted by Ubuntu)
- Use the top left icon to open the dash and search for Startup Disk Creator.
- Select Startup Disk Creator from the results to launch the application.
