How do I create a script in Linux?
Scripts are used to run a series of commands. Bash is available by default on Linux and macOS operating systems.
Create a simple Git deployment script.
- Create a bin directory.
- Export your bin directory to the PATH.
- Create a script file and make it executable.
How do I create a script file?
You can create a new script in the following ways:
- Highlight commands from the Command History, right-click, and select Create Script.
- Click the New Script button on the Home tab.
- Use the edit function. For example, edit new_file_name creates (if the file does not exist) and opens the file new_file_name .
