What operating system does Chromebook use?
Chromebooks are laptops and two-in-ones running on Google’s Chrome operating system. The hardware might look like any other laptop, but the minimalistic, web-browser-based Chrome OS is a different experience from the Windows and MacOS laptops you’re likely used to.
Is chromebook a Linux or PC?
Not to be outdone, Google says all future Chromebooks will be able to run Linux applications. Chromebooks run an operating system, ChromeOS, that is built on the Linux kernel but was originally designed to only run Google’s web browser Chrome. That meant you could only really use web apps.
