How do I access my CD drive in Kali Linux?
To mount the CD or DVD on Linux operating systems:
- Insert the CD or DVD in the drive and enter the following command: mount -t iso9660 -o ro /dev/cdrom /cdrom. where /cdrom represents the mount point of the CD or DVD.
- Log out.
How do I open the CD drive on Linux?
To open the CD drive / eject the CD:
- Open Terminal using Ctrl + Alt + T , and type eject.
- To close the tray, type eject -t.
- And to toggle (if open, close and if closed, open) type eject -T.
