Where is the external storage folder on Android?
External storage is a secondary memory/sdcard of your phone, which we can use to save files world-readable. We can use the getExternalStorageDirectory() method to get the external storage directory. To read or write to the external storage, you need to add the permission code in the manifest file.
How do I see what is stored on my SD card?
Through the Droid
- Go to your Droid’s home screen. Tap the “Apps” icon to open up a list of your phone’s installed apps.
- Scroll through the list and select “My Files.” The icon looks like a manila folder. Tap the “SD Card” option. The resulting list contains all the data on your MicroSD card.
