Is it possible to update Android version?

Normally, you will get notifications from OTA (over-the-air) when the Android Pie update is available for you. Connect your Android phone to the Wi-Fi Network. Go to Settings > About device, then tap System Updates > Check for Updates > Update to download and install the latest Android version.

Will I get OTA updates if rooted?

One of the issues with rooting your device is the inability to update your phone via OTA. Any security patches or software updates pushed out by the OEM are lost because your bootloader is unlocked. However, you still can update your device, it just a take a bit more effort. This is why you don’t want to ignore OTA.
