Which key is used for entering insert mode from command mode?
This key simulates ESC key in emacs mode. For instance, typing C-z x in insert mode is the same as typing ESC x in emacs mode ( vip-ESC ).
How do you enter insert mode and go to the beginning of the line?
You could enter insert mode using I (capital i). It will put the cursor at the beginning of the line.
