An Android TV box is a streaming device that you can plug into your TV to be able to watch streaming services, such as Netflix, which are typically only available on portable devices such as laptops, tablets and phones, or on smart TVs. These TV boxes are also sometimes known as streaming players or set-top boxes.

What is an android box and how does it work?

Here’s how it works: vendors start with a basic Android TV box. … That means vendors can load them with special software so the gadget can access an almost unlimited amount of television shows and movies. Customers attach the loaded box to their TV and stream whatever they want, with no commercials.

Is Android TV box worth buying?

Like the Nexus Player, it’s a little light on storage, but if you’re just looking to catch some TV—be it HBO Go, Netflix, Hulu, or whatever else—it should fit the bill just fine. If you’re looking to play some Android games, however, I’d probably shy away from this one.
