UNIX and LINUX isn’t that hard to learn. As Kraelis said if you’re proficient in DOS and command lines then you’ll be just fine. You just have to remember some simple commands (ls, cd, cp, rm, mv, grep, vi, several others) and some of the switches for them.
How long does it take to learn UNIX?
As you can see, it takes some time and experience to become a proficient Unix administrator (or a good Windows administrator). There’s a lot more involved than just managing the server itself. Yeah, five years is a pretty good rule of thumb estimate.
Is UNIX easy to learn?
