Windows Insider is an open software testing program by Microsoft that allows users who own a valid license of Windows 10 or Windows Server to register for pre-release builds of the operating system previously only accessible to software developers.

What is the use of Windows Insider?

The Windows Insider Program is a community of millions of Windows’ biggest fans who get to be the first to see what’s next. Windows Insiders run previews of the platform, called Windows Insider Preview Builds, then give feedback and engage directly with our engineers to help shape the future of Windows.

Should I use Windows Insider?

Overall, we don’t recommend switching to Windows 10’s Insider Previews on your main PC, or any PC you depend on actual stability from. if you’re curious to get a glimpse of the future and provide feedback, we recommend running the Insider Previews in a virtual machine or on a secondary PC.
