Why there is no Adobe in Linux?
Adobe needs file formats to be closed in order to survive. There is alternatives for the reader, like Evince and Okular, but there is no complete and open alternatives for the editor, or the flash player. The flash player has become a growing cancer that really needs to be addressed as soon as possible.
Is Adobe coming to Linux?
Adobe joined the Linux Foundation in 2008 for a focus on Linux for Web 2.0 Applications like Adobe® Flash® Player and Adobe AIR™. Currently Adobe holds a silver membership status with the Linux Foundation.
