iOS is Apple’s mobile operating system that runs on both iPhones and iPads. iOS Mail refers to the native Mail app on these mobile devices. Apple’s desktop Mail application, on the other hand, is what we call Apple Mail.

Why is iOS mail search so bad?

The reason is the search feature only applies to emails that are in your inbox or folders on your iPhone. … If you set your mail settings to only show 20 emails max, it will only search for what you’re looking for in those 20 emails loaded in your inbox/folder.

Can iOS use Gmail?

Yes. You can set up and sync Apple, Google, Microsoft and many other accounts right to your iPhone or iPad. Whether you use Apple’s iCloud, Google’s Gmail, Microsoft’s Outlook or Exchange, or something else, it’s easy to set up all your mail, contacts and calendar accounts to sync to your iPhone or iPad.
