Where should Python be installed on Windows?
By default the Python installer for Windows places its executables in the user’s AppData directory, so that it doesn’t require administrative permissions. If you’re the only user on the system, you might want to place Python in a higher-level directory (e.g. C:Python3. 7 ) to make it easier to find.
How do I know if a Python package is installed?
Check the version of Python package / library
- Get the version in Python script: __version__ attribute.
- Check with pip command. List installed packages: pip list. List installed packages: pip freeze. Check details of installed packages: pip show.
- Check with conda command: conda list.
