Bubbles are built into the Notification system. They float on top of other app content and follow the user wherever they go. Bubbles can be expanded to reveal app functionality and information, and can be collapsed when not being used.

How do you use bubbles on Android?

Turn bubbles on or off for a specific app or conversation

  1. When you notice a bubble, tap it to open it.
  2. At the bottom left, tap Manage. Bubbles settings.
  3. Tap the app you want to change.
  4. Choose your notification settings: All conversations can bubble. Selected conversations can bubble: Tap a person, then turn on Bubble.

What apps use Android bubbles?

The bubble interface can be applied to any application that includes conversations, such as Facebook Messenger, Android Messages and even Slack. If a conversation can be had in an app, chances are strong it can bubble. However, out of the box, the bubble interface is only enabled for Facebook Messenger.
