Should I Work out Before Golf?

Should I Work out Before Golf?

Some players such as Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy have taken weight training to an extreme, but you don't need to be as muscle bound to help your golf game. So spend a little time loosening up your body before you start your round rather than doing a few twists and turns with your club or iron before your first shot.

Does working out affect your golf game?

If the weights are too big and the body can't handle the pressure, the muscles will make compensations to perform the movement, which leads to a detrimental affect on the golf swing. Once in a while you may smash a ball 300-plus yards, but more often than not you'll struggle for accuracy, control and consistency.

Is it better to workout before or after sports?

The short answer that everyone is looking for can be condensed. If you want to build muscle, run first. If you want to build your endurance and aerobic capacity, run last. Essentially, your body's adaptive response is greater for the type of exercise that you finish your workout doing.
