Are Drum Heads Recyclable?

The basic resin used in drumheads is polyester which is the same as used in 2 liter soda bottles, so I'd say yes. The only problem is that our heads aren't marked as to the resin so when sorting, they'll probably just get tossed in the landfill pile. They probably should be marked for recycling with a stamp.

Can Drums be recycled?

Many local plastics recycling centers and environmental services agencies will accept drums. They need to be clean and had not previously been used to hold hazardous materials. If it did at one point contain hazardous material, you'll need to contact a local hazardous waste agency.

What can you do with old drums?

Some of the pieces of furniture you can create from old drum sets include:
  1. Tables and Side Tables.
  2. Lampshades.
  3. Chandeliers.
  4. Wall Clocks.
  5. Shelves.
  6. Chairs.
  7. Pet Beds.
  8. Ottomans and Stools.
