Nantucket is a very pet-friendly Island, and the Brass Lantern Inn is happy to provide pet-friendly lodging, one of the few inns that welcome your four-legged friend. Over the years, we have had countless well-behaved pet guests from mini Chihuahuas to Bernese mountain dogs – and most sizes in between.
Are dogs allowed on Nantucket ferry?
Pets are allowed on board their island-bound ferries, except the First Class Lounge section of their traditional Nantucket ferry. There is no fee, but pets must be properly leashed and are not allowed on the seats.
How do you get around Nantucket with a dog?
Only one pet is allowed per aircraft, so advance preparations are key. If your pup would rather float than fly, dogs ride free to Nantucket on the Steamship Authority's high-speed ferry and on Hy-Line Cruises. Once Fido's paws are on the ground, one of the best ways to get around the island is by Jeep.
