In 1995, Bert “Tito” Beveridge obtained the first legal permit to distill in Texas and created Tito's Handmade Vodka. We batch distill our corn-based vodka using old-fashioned pot stills and the vodka is naturally Gluten-Free. Tito's Handmade Vodka is distilled and bottled by Fifth Generation Inc.
Why is Tito's vodka different?
And while most vodkas are distilled using column stills, Tito's claims it is “handmade” and uses old-fashioned pot stills to make its vodka, a process that is less efficient, more labor-intensive, and typically reserved for rum or whiskey production.
What's different about Tito's vodka?
Tito's is very intentionally made from corn.
Vodka can be made from just about anything, and it's debatable whether you can really taste the difference after so many distillations since vodka is defined by its lack of flavor, taste, and odor.
