Why are the pills different colors birth control?
The tablets are different colours because each colour contains a slightly different amount of hormones. Make sure you take the tablets in the correct order. To achieve maximum contraceptive effectiveness, TriNessa must be taken exactly as directed and at intervals not exceeding 24 hours.
What happens if you take the wrong color birth control pill?
However, if your pills (in the first three rows) are 2, 3 or 4 different colors, it means that you are not taking the pills in the usual order. For most pills, the change causes no problems except for possible breakthrough bleeding. So keep taking the pills but check in with your health care provider to make sure.
