After being defeated by the forces of the Israelite tribes of Zebulun and Naphtali under the command of Barak and Deborah, Sisera was killed by Jael, who hammered a tent peg into his temple.
How did Deborah of the Bible die?
Deborah died in the midst of loved ones. Deborah not only died at a ripe old age, but she was also buried. She had a proper burial under the shadow of the terebinth tree, away from the shadow of death, where her spent old body could "rest secure" (Ps. 16:9).
Why did Jael give Sisera milk instead of water?
Obviously, Jael knew the hypnagogic effect of the milk and for this reason, when the thirsty Sisera asked for water, she brought him full fat (or curdled) milk in a magnificent bowl (see Judges 4:19 5:25) in order to make him sleep and thus kill him more easily.
