The Unity Student plan is for individual students to create, learn, and share their Unity projects at home, school or elsewhere. The Education Grant License is for institutions that need to install Unity on institutional devices, such as in the classroom or a lab.
How do I use Unity student plan?
When prompted, create, or log into your Unity ID. Complete the SheerID verification form, providing details of your academic affiliation and additional documentation, if necessary. Once you're verified by SheerID, sign in to your Unity ID to access the Student Plan.
What is the difference between Unity personal and student?
Unity Student is basically Unity Pro, which means you get for free Pro exclusive features such as Collab and dark theme. These aren't exactly essential features though, and the main downside is that you can't publish anything made with Unity Student, and all your projects will a watermark on them.
